Thank you for your interest in DAO1 Virtual Hackathon (the “Hackathon”).


  • Registrations are open for the first edition of DAO1 International Hackathons from June 1, 2021 00:00 UTC
  • Participants must register on the DAO1 Hackathon platform by filling the form before June 18, 2021 23:59 UTC
  • Participants should provide accurate information in all the relevant fields during the registration process.

  • The shortlisted candidates for the hackathon will be announced on June 20th, 2021 at 23:59 UTC


Each individual who participates the Hackathon (“Participant”) must:

  • be an adult at least 18 years old who is legally able to enter into a contract
  • should not be a resident of any of the territories that are restricted or prohibited by law.

Dates and Times

The event begins June 20th, 2021 and ends on July 2nd, 2021 at 23:59 UTC. The Hackathon will be held virtually.

  • You will be notified by email about upcoming events a day in advance
  • you need to ensure you and your team's participation by RSVP'ing to these events


  • The DAO1 International Hackathon is a 3-day weekend event starting June 18th, 2021 until June 20th, 2021.
  • Participants in the hackathon will develop at least a working prototype of the project idea by the end of hackathon duration.
  • The hackathon event will also include few sessions covering technical and business aspects of blockchain projects


  • Each team must submit a presentation in the form of a document/slide deck or video outlining the project, methodology, use case and instructions to run the code (if necessary) etc. before the hackathon deadline.
  • The submissions should include a GitHub link containing the code for the project developed during the hackathon.
  • Only one person from the team will make the submission
  • The submission link will open from June 25th and will be accessible until the end of June 28th

Evaluation & Results

  • All submissions will the reviewed by the DAO1 International Hackathon jury panel consisting of representatives from the crypto industry and DAO1 technical team
  • Hackathon participants can jump on the dedicated DAO1 Hackathon Telegram Group during the event to get any hackathon related questions answered by the Organizers.
  • The results will be tentatively announced on July 2nd, 2021 along with instructions for the top three submissions to claim their rewards. The results will be communicated to the participants over email and shared on DAO1’s social media channels and website.
  • Following the announcements, participants can schedule a 20-minute interaction session with the judges to gain feedback on their work.

Evaluation Criteria

The submissions will be evaluated by the jury based on the following criteria

  • direct relevance to the core problem/addressing the core problem.
  • uniqueness of the recommended solution; and
  • ease of implementation.
  • quality of code
  • Does this project expand the accessibility or improve adoption of DAO1’s products and services?
  • Does it benefit the cryptocurrency community, especially the DAO1 community?
  • Is this project production ready?
  • Ease of use of project

Hardware and Software

Each Participant must bring or obtain whatever hardware and/or software they believe they need to participate. Participants would be responsible for having any necessary devices or Internet access they want to access any data or materials provided by DAO1 for the purpose of hackathon. All information and resources as a part of the Hackathon will be made available online by DAO1. While accessing any resources provided by DAO1, the participants are responsible for reviewing any applicable terms and conditions for using such website and decide whether it is acceptable to them.

How to Register

To participate in the DAO1 Hackathon, users must sign up at – By signing up, you agree to all the terms and conditions and privacy policy set forth by DAO1 for website access and Hackathon participation. You will need to provide certain information about yourself to register. If you are registering on behalf of a team, you are representing that all team members have read the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy and (1) that you have the authority to bind all team members whom you represent to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.


(2) that those whom you represent will be bound by and a party to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Registrations are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis, and DAO1 has the right to end registration or limit the number of registrants at any time in its discretion. The deadline to register is June 18th 2021 at 23:59 (UTC).

How do I form a Team?

A team can include up to 5 Participants (a “Team”). The size of your Team will not be taken into consideration in the judging.

How do I become eligible to win prizes?

As described in more detail below in these Terms and Conditions, prospective winners may be required to provide any requested proof of eligibility and to sign additional paperwork in order to be formally declared winners and to claim prizes.

Collection/Use of Your Information.

DAO1 may ask you for additional information to confirm whether you are in compliance with the terms and conditions and your eligibility to receive prizes. Failure to provide the requested information within the requested time frame may result in disqualification
